Yesu Akwagala Bible College

Yesu Akwagala Bible College started operating in 2002 and has trained students from Uganda, Kenya, Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Malawi, Rwanda, Sudan, Tanzania, Ethiopia and the United States of America. We have a number of testimonies of students from the College that have made a positive transformational impact through preaching the gospel, planting churches and changing the way of living of people in their rural communities.

About Yesu Akwagala Bible College (YABC) 

Yesu Akwagala Bible College (YABC) named from our local language Luganda in Uganda meaning Jesus loves you was birthed from the hearing of the voice of God from one of the major spiritual founders known as Dr. Steven Mayanja. In 1988 while Dr. Steven Mayanja was at Seattle Bible College in the state of Seattle-USA, the Lord spoke to him to start a Bible college in the village of Seguku in Kampala- Uganda just like Seattle Bible College. The key instruction that he received from the Lord was that the Bible College was to train and equip God's people for the work of the ministry from all over the world. Dr. Steven Mayanja went ahead to act in a decisive and clear manner and an architect was invited to make an architectural plan for the Bible College. In 1998, funds were raised through donations from USA to start off the construction of the Bible College.

Before we were awarded a Provisional license in 2014 we were affiliated to Seattle Bible College are were offering a Degree in Theology for four Years, Diploma in Theology for Three years, Associate of Theology Certificate for Two years, Certificate in Biblical Studies for one year. Now with the Regulation of the NCHE we are offering a Diploma in Theology for two years, Certificate in Theology for two years as our core Courses and one year short course certificates which lead to certificate of participation in Christian leadership, Certificate of participation in Basic English, and Certificate of participation in Theology arts Worship training. All Students are equipped with hands on training skills and entrepreneurship mindset of profit making from the various project clubs like Tailoring, Baking, Hairdressing, Piggery and modern agriculture farming. Approximately Seven Hundred students (700students) have graduated from Yesu Akwagala Bible College in various programs between 2002 and 2019
